Surgery #2.
Victoria had her second surgery early this morning. She did great and is sleeping soundly in the PICU. The main goal of today’s surgery was to determine whether or not certain spots on Victoria’s MRI (that could be reached endoscopically) were leftover tumor or scar tissue. Everything they scraped and tested was normal, so that area appears to be clear, which is fantastic news!
She will need a third surgery in which they’ll go in through either the base of her skull or the side of her throat to be able to resect what’s left of the tumor.
We will have a better idea of the timing of the third surgery over the next few days. Prayers for the success of a complete resection are what we need now.
Thank you all so much!! We will keep you posted.
